Trugny is located about 42 kilometers south-southeast of Dijon on the Saône . The municipality borders Jallanges to the north and east, Clux-Villeneuve to the south and east , Mont-lès-Seurre to the south-west, Chivres to the west and south-west and Labergement-lès-Seurre to the west .
