Haniska (Hungarian Eperjesenyicke - until 1907 Enyicke ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 715 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in Prešov District , part of the kraj Prešovský and becomes the traditional landscape Šariš counted.
geography
The village is located in the northern part of the Košická kotlina basin on the left bank of the Torysa at the confluence with the Delňa . On the right bank, the foothills of the Šarišská vrchovina mountain range extend into the almost 1.9 km² large municipal area. The center of the village lies at an altitude of 233 m nm and is six kilometers from the center of Prešov .
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1288 and belonged to local landowners. In 1828 there are 47 houses and 349 inhabitants.
1971–1990 Haniska was part of Prešov.
