Location of the municipality of Mucheln in the Plön district

Mucheln is a municipality in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein . Baumrade, Friedeburg, Hasselburg, Neuhege, Seeberg, Sellin, Tresdorf and Winterfeld are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Mucheln is located about 18 km east of Kiel and about 10 km north of Plön in an area rich in lakes. Adjacent to the municipality are the Tresdorfer See in the east, the Lebrader Teich in the south and the Gödfeldteich in the west . About 7 km north of the federal highway 202 runs from Kiel to Lütjenburg and about 7 km southeast of the federal highway 430 from Plön to Lütjenburg.
