NGC 1213 = IC 1881 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sd in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 158 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 1207 .
The object was discovered on October 14, 1884 by the astronomer Lewis Swift .
