The Norman County is a county in the US -amerikanischen State Minnesota . In 2010 , the county had 6,852 people and a population density of three people per square kilometer. The county seat is Ada .
geography
The county is located in northwest Minnesota on the east bank of the Red River of the North , which forms the border with North Dakota . It has an area of 2271 square kilometers, one square kilometer of which is water. The Wild Rice River flows through the county in an east-west direction to its confluence with the Red River. history
The Norman County was formed on November 8, 1881 from parts of Polk County. It was named after the first Norwegian settlers who settled here.
