The Red Lake County is a county in the US -amerikanischen State Minnesota . In 2010 , the county had 4,089 residents and a population density of 3.7 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Red Lake Falls .

The county is in northwest Minnesota. It covers an area of 1120 square kilometers and, despite its name, has no significant water surface. Red Lake County was formed on December 24, 1896 from parts of Polk County. It was named after the Red Lake River.
