history
Lincoln County was formed on November 4, 1873 from parts of Lyon County. It was named after Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), the 16th President (1861-1865) of the United States.
Eight structures and sites in the county are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (as of January 29, 2018).
