Bermuda took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics for the 13th time in the Summer Olympics. The team consisted of nine athletes, seven of whom were men and two women. They started in nine competitions in four sports. The youngest participant was the athlete DeVon Bean at 20 years and 318 days, the oldest was the rider Suzanne Dunkley at 40 years and 121 days. The Bermuda flag was carriedinto the Olympic Stadiumby athlete Brian Wellman during the opening ceremony on July 19, 1996.
