history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the community area. The first written mention of Pacezlauicih took place in 1131, when Vladislav , the nephew of Duke Soběslav I enfeoffed a Gervas with the estate. After his death, Pacizlauiz fell back in 1160 to Vladislav II, who had meanwhile been crowned King of Bohemia, who then donated the property to the Hospital of the Order of St. John in Prague. In 1228 the place was called Passhlawiz . In the second half of the 13th century, the estate with the associated villages Pačlavice, Lhota, Pornice and Dětkovice returned to secular lords. In 1288 Sulislav von Pačlavice was named as the owner. There is evidence of a parish since the 14th century. Until the end of the 15th century there was a frequent change of ownership. The first evidence of the Paczlawicz fortress comes from 1355, at that time it belonged to the Vorwerkshof and a Hube Land, the Kretscham and two cottagers Ješuta Keneš. Three years later Bohuš and Libor from Pačlavice were named as owners. Bohuš sold the goods to Ortwin von Pornitz. This was followed by the Lords of Boskowitz , Svatuch of Pačlavice, in 1373 Mladota of Pačlavice and the following year Vojslav and Filip of Křižanov. From 1392 the Vladiken von Vickov owned part of Paczlauicz , the other part belonged to Filip von Křižanov until 1420. In 1492 Nikolaus Zendler von Hof ( Mikuláš Sedlar z Hofu ) bought the entire estate. In 1523 Paczlawicz was first called a town. In 1531 Ferdinand I gave Paczlawicz the privilege to keep a coat of arms and to hold two annual markets and one weekly market. In 1612 the Zendler von Hof sold the rule for 33,000 guilders to Jan Bukuvka von Bukuvka. From this the estate passed to the Makartovský family in 1633. During the Thirty Years War the town was plundered and burned by the Swedes in June 1643. Via Jan Makartovský von Ledská's daughter Paczlawicz passed to her son Franz Adam Chorinský in 1678. Franz Karl Chorinský followed, and from 1741 his son Matthias Franz Chorinský . The bishop so heavily indebted the rule that it had to be auctioned publicly in 1759. It was acquired by his brother Ignaz Chorinský. The following year, a great fire broke out in Paczlawicz , which also burned the castle out. In 1787 a school was established. After Ignaz's death, widow Barbara, her daughter Anna, married Countess von und zu Sprinzenstein, inherited the rule. This sold the castle to Ernst von Arenberg for 260,000 guilders. In 1833 Ernst von Arenberg built a hospital in Paczlawicz , in which subjects of the rulership who had passed the age of 60 and were no longer able to work due to health problems. His daughter Ernestine gave the reign in 1841 to the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul . The condition was linked to the donation to maintain a hospital in two houses and to set up a handicraft school for Moravian girls. The only economic operations were the brewery and a distillery. Until the middle of the 19th century, Pačlawice always remained an independent allodial rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pačlawice / Patschlawitz formed from 1850 a market town in the district administration Kroměříž. At this time the basket-making trade, which was part of the guild in Morkovice, expanded into the market. From 1881 the village was called Pačeslavice and since 1893 the current place name Pačlavice has been used. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1895. After the end of the First World War, several button-making businesses were also established. On October 17, 1944, two bombs fell in Pačlawice during an American air raid on Upper Silesia. The village was captured by the Red Army on May 1, 1945, and on June 19, 1945 two thousand Romanian soldiers passed through the village on their way home. In 1948, after the monastery was dissolved, the manorial land was divided up. In 1950 a cinema was opened. The following year, traffic on the Pačlavice - Kroměříž railway was started. In 1955 the Pačlavice - Vyškov bus line was established . At the beginning of 1961 Lhota and Pornice were incorporated. The primary school was closed in 1982 and the children were retrained to Morkovice.
