Fenchen is east of Lindlar a little north of Scheel .

history

The municipality and manor district statistics of the Rhine province lists Fenchen 1871 with five houses and 28 inhabitants. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, four houses with 19 inhabitants are given for fences .

In 1941 the name was changed to "Fenchen zu Scheel" according to the council decision of the Lindlar community.
