Location and description

The place is located in the northwest of Lindlar on the border with the municipality of Kürten in the Ommerbach valley . Neighboring towns are Kaufmannsommer , Spich , Mittelbreidenbach and Frangenberg .

history

In 1413, the place name "Oemer" was named for the places Müller, Unter- and Rölenommer in a combing register for the Fronhof Lindlar . In the map Topographischeaufnahme der Rheinlande from 1824, "Röhlen Ommer" is shown on a delimited courtyard with 7 separate building floor plans. In the Prussian first recording from 1844 the place name is "In der Rölen Ommer" . The place name Rölenommer in use today has been used in topographic maps since 1893.
