Location of Unterfrielinghausen in Lindlar

Unterfrielinghausen is a place in the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Unterfrielinghausen is located in the southwest of Lindlar on the border with the municipality of Engelskirchen . The neighboring towns are Rehbach , Oberfrielinghausen , Hohbusch and Herkenhähn .

history

In 958 the place was mentioned for the first time as " Frilenchusen " in a deed of donation. The farm and the parish of Hohkeppel fell to the landlords of Lindlar.

The name of the Lehnhof Frielinghausen is derived from "Friling", an interest farmer in the sense of the Saxon mirror. In the Middle Ages, Frielinghausen belonged to the Vellingen community in the parish of Hohkeppel.

In 1715, Unter- and Oberfrielinghausen are jointly referred to as Frielinghausen on the Topographia Ducatus Montani . The map shows four individual farms. In the map of the Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, both places are shown in geographically different locations, each with enclosed courtyards. The common place name is still Frielinghausen. At the location of Unterfrielinghausen, two separate building floor plans are shown. From the Prussian first recording of 1845, the topographic maps show the independent place name Unterfrielinghausen.

In the "Topographical-Statistical Description of the Royal Prussian Rhine Province" from 1830, 79 inhabitants are counted for Unterfrielinghausen.

Due to § 10 and § 14 of the Cologne Act , the municipality of Hohkeppel was dissolved in 1975 and extensive parts of Lindlar were incorporated. Including Unterfrielinghausen.
