The village of Krähsiefen is a district of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischen Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Krähsiefen is located in the southwest of Lindlar in a side valley of the Lennefer Bach, which flows into the Sülz, on the border with the urban area of Overath . Neighboring places are the Overather districts Klingerath , Halfenslennefe , Kartenlennefe , Lenneferberg and Herrenhöhe .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate of the electoral district 160 Hohkeppel in the council of Lindlar.

history

The farm was probably settled in the early days of Lindlar's settlement around 956. It was officially referred to as Kreysoeffenn in the early Middle Ages .

In 1550 the village was first mentioned in a document with the name " Kreysieffen " in the " Court roll of the Cologne St. Severinstift " .

Due to § 10 and § 14 of the Cologne Act , the municipality of Hohkeppel was dissolved in 1975 and extensive parts of Lindlar were incorporated. Including Krähsiefen.
