Oberheiligenhoven is a place in the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Oberheiligenhoven is located in the southwest of Lindlar in the valley of the Lennefer Bach . The neighboring towns are Lindlar, Vossbruch , Steinscheid and Krähenhof . The places Ober-Mittel and Oberheiligenhoven are named with the common place name Heiligenhoven, although they are not in close proximity to each other.

history

In 1413, Heiligenhoven is mentioned for the first time in a combing register of Fronhof Lindlar with the name "Heiligenhoeven" . A mill near the castle is mentioned around 1800. In the map Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, a mill symbol is shown on a “stone house” below the castle. In 1830 17 people lived in Oberheiligenhoven.

The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province list the manor Oberheiligenhoven in 1871 with one house and 16 residents.
