Kirschbaum is a district of the municipality of Lindlar in the Oberbergisches Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia.

Location and description

Kirschbaum is located in the eastern part of the center of Lindlar and is no longer recognizable as an independent place today. The place to live is on Landesstraße 299, which runs from Engelskirchen Comment to Immekeppel (Overath) and is called Kirschbäumchen here.

history

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 as Kirſchbaum . The Prussian first recording from 1840 shows the residential area under the name Kirschbaum . On the Prussian new recording from 1894/96, the place is no longer recorded by name on measuring table sheets , but rather the part of the closed settlement area of ​​Lindlar that is already on the edge.

In 1822 13 people lived in the place categorized as a courtyard , which after the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement belonged to the Lindlar mayor in the Wipperfürth district . For the year 1830 15 inhabitants are given for the place.
