The living space is only a little south of today's Lindlar village of Scheel and can be reached via inner-city streets from Landesstraße 97 (here Monanusstraße). Neighborhoods are Frielingsdorf and Dassiefen .

history

From the chart of the Duchy of Berg from the year 1789 of Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking it emerges that the local area was part of the Honschaft Scheel in the parish of Lindlar at that time .

The Prussian first recording from 1840 shows the living space as a mill symbol. From the Prussian new admission of 1894/96, the place is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as Scheeler M. , Scheeler Mühle or Scheelermühle .

After the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement, the place belonged to the mayor's office of Lindlar in the Wipperfürth district . In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland from 1888, a house with 9 inhabitants is given for Scheelermühle . In 1895 the place has a house with 16 inhabitants and belonged denominationally to the Protestant parish Hülsenbusch and the Catholic parish Frielingsdorf , in 1905 one house and eleven inhabitants are given.
