history

From the chart of the Duchy of Berg by Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking from 1789, it emerges that the local area was at that time part of the Scheel Honschaft in the parish of Lindlar in the Bergisch Amt Steinbach . The place was on Heidenstrasse , an important medieval old highway from Cologne via Kassel to Leipzig .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 as a duck . The Prussian first recording from 1840 does not show the living space. From the Prussian new admission of 1894/96, the place is regularly recorded as a duck on measuring table sheets .

The place, which was categorized as a courtyard in 1845 according to the overview of the government district of Cologne , had a residential building with six inhabitants of the Catholic faith and one inhabitant of the Protestant faith at that time. The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province list Ente 1871 with three houses and 29 inhabitants. In the parish dictionary for the Rhineland province of 1888, four houses with 29 inhabitants are given for duck . In 1895 the place has six houses with 46 inhabitants and belonged denominationally to the Protestant parish Hülsenbusch and the Catholic parish Frielingsdorf.
