Location of wood in Lindlar

The small Hofschaft Holz is a district of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischer Kreis , in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Holz is located southwest of Lindlar on the municipality border with Engelskirchen near the Holzkopf elevation.

On the basis of Section 14 of the Cologne Act , the Holz part of the Engelskirchen community was incorporated into Lindlar in 1975. As a result, the Lindlar part and the Engelskirchen part became one village. The municipality boundary to Engelskirchen now runs south of Holz.

history

The Holz Hof was probably built during the early harvest period when Lindlar was settled. In 1830 there were 22 people living in wood.
