The Welzerberg residential area is a district of the municipality of Lindlar in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the Cologne administrative district in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Welzerberg is located in the west of the municipality of Lindlar on the municipal and district border with the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis and the municipality of Kürten in the Sülztal . The immediate neighboring village is Welzen , another neighboring village is Schmitzhöhe .

history

The place was only created in the second half of the 19th century. From the Prussian new admission of 1895, the place is regularly recorded as Welzerberg on measuring table sheets .

After the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement, the place belonged to the mayor's office of Lindlar in the Wipperfürth district .

The local and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Welzerberg 1871 with two houses and 14 residents. In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland from 1888, two houses with ten residents are given for Welzerberg . In 1895 the place had two houses with seven inhabitants, in 1905 one house and five inhabitants are given.

Due to § 10 and § 14 of the Cologne Act , the municipality of Hohkeppel was dissolved in 1975 and incorporated into Lindlar , including the district of Welzerberg.
