The hamlet of Kaufmannsommer with about 35 inhabitants is a district of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischen Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Kaufmannsommer is located northwest of Lindlar on the border with the municipality of Kürten between Olpe and Linde. To the east of Kaufmannsommer, the Miebesberg rises to a height of 250 m. Neighboring towns include Spich , Rölenommer and Frangenberg .
history
The exact dating of the origin of this court is difficult. The first settlement probably took place from Fronhof Lindlar or Dürscheid . The first clearing work was followed by the creation of isolated farms, most of which still exist today.
A mill was built during the summer of the 19th century. A cross from 1767 is said to have been found during the excavation work. The mill, as well as the bakery belonging to it, are closed today.
