The village of Kemmerich is part of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischen Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). It is located west of Lindlar.
history
Kemmerich was first mentioned in documents in 1413 as kemeryngen .
The St. Rochus Chapel in Kemmerich was built in 1668 under Pastor Schockart zu Lindlar and expanded and rebuilt in 1808 and 1810. In 1876 a neo-Romanesque tower was added to the chapel. In 1882 Franz Spicher bought a bell for 150 marks.
In 1923 Kemmerich was connected to the public electricity network.
