Location of Abrahamstal in Lindlar

The Abrahamstal farm is a part of the municipality of Lindlar , Oberbergischen Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Abrahamstal lies north of Lindlar on the L284 road from Linde to Hartegasse . The Lindlar Sülz flows north of the Hofschaft .

Neighboring towns are Lindlar, Untersülze , Helle , Süttenbach , Stoppenbach , Heibach and Obersülze .

history

At the beginning of the 19th century there was an iron smelter in Abrahamstal. The Prussian first recording from 1840 shows the residential area. This topographic map shows a “hut” in Abrahamstal. From the Prussian new admission of 1894/96, the place is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as Abrahamstal .

In 1822 seven people lived in the town, which was categorized as House and Iron Smelting and after the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement, it belonged to the Lindlar mayor in the Wipperfürth district . For the year 1830 seven inhabitants in the house and one iron smelter are given for the place called Abrahamstal . The place, which was categorized as an isolated house in 1845 according to the overview of the government district of Cologne , had a residential building with seven residents at that time, all of whom were Catholic. The municipal and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Good Abrahamstal 1871 with a dwelling house and four residents. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, a house with three residents is given for Abrahamstal . In 1895 the place had a house with three inhabitants and belonged denominationally to the Catholic parish Linde, in 1905 one house and four inhabitants are given.

The iron smelter was fed with iron stone from Lindlar until the late 19th century.
