history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1413. Spelling of the first mention : qwabach .
In the Middle Ages Quabach belonged to the Tüschen community in the parish of Hohkeppel . In 1830 Quabach had 39 inhabitants. In 1860 a spinning mill was built in the place. In 1886, according to a council resolution, the wooden bridge at Quabach over the Lindlarer Sülz was to be replaced by a stone bridge. In 1911 this was renewed. When the Cologne-Mülheim – Lindlar (popularly: Sülztalbahn) railway was being built, a path from Quabach to Hommerich station was built in 1910 . In 1941 the formerly separate towns of Oberquabach and Unterquabach were merged. From now on the entire place was called Quabach.
