Brux is a French village with 716 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Arrondissement Montmorillon , in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it is part of the canton of Lusignan (until 2015: canton of Couhé ). The inhabitants are called Brucéens .
geography
Brux is located about 40 kilometers south-southwest of Poitiers on the Bouleure River . Brux is surrounded by the neighboring communities Couhé in the north, Vaux in the north and northeast, Romagne in the east, Blanzay in the southeast, Chaunay in the south, Vanzay in the southwest, Messé in the west and Rome in the northwest.
The National Route 10 runs through the municipality . The Couhé-Vérac airfield is located in the municipality .
