Christopher John "Chris" Lee (* 1. April 1964 in Kenmore , Erie County , New York ) is an American politician of the Republican Party . He was a member of the United States House of Representatives for the 26th  Congressional District of New York State from 2009 to 2011 .

biography

Chris Lee grew up in Tonawanda . His Bachelor in Economics and Finance , he received at the University of Rochester , his Master of Business Administration in mind the following at the Chapman University in Orange . Before he was elected to the US House of Representatives, he worked in various professions in the private sector.

His predecessor as representative of the 26th District was Thomas M. Reynolds . Lee won the 2008 election with 55% of the vote against his opponents. In the 2010 elections he was able to defend his seat with 74% of the vote. He was one of the members of the Committee on Financial Services . On February 9, 2011, he resigned due to an online affair. The by-election for his seat on May 24, 2011 surprisingly won the Democrat Kathy Hochul .

He lives in Clarence with his wife Michele . He is of the Protestant faith .
