Charles Bonnell Ward (born April 27, 1879 in Newark , New Jersey , † May 27, 1946 in Liberty , New York ) was an American politician . Between 1915 and 1925 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Charles Bonnell Ward attended public schools. In 1899 he graduated from the Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University ) in Chester . He moved to New York in 1903 and settled in Debruce , Sullivan County . There he pursued agricultural activities. Between 1910 and 1928 he was the editor and owner of the Liberty Register in Liberty. Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party .

In the 1914 congressional elections for the 64th Congress , Ward was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the 27th  constituency of New York , where he succeeded George McClellan on March 4, 1915 . He was re-elected four times in a row. Since he on a run again in 1924 renounced, he left the after March 3, 1925 Congress of.

After his time at the Congress he went back to agricultural activities. He was the owner of the Debruce Inn Club , which he ran in Liberty until his death on May 27, 1946. His body was then interred in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Newark.
