John Francis "Jack" Quinn (born April 13, 1951 in Buffalo , New York ) is an American politician . Between 1993 and 2005 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Jack Quinn received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena College in Loudonville in 1973 . Between 1973 and 1983 he taught as a public school teacher in Orchard Park . He received his Master of Arts degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo in 1983 . Between 1982 and 1984 he was a member of the Hamburg Town Council . He was then town supervisor in Hamburg between 1985 and 1993 . Politically, he belongs to the Republican Party .

In the 1992 congressional election for the 103rd Congress , Quinn was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the 30th  constituency of New York , where he succeeded Louise Slaughter on January 3, 1993 . He was re-elected four times in a row. In 2002 he ran for the 108th Congress in the 27th district of New York . After a successful election, he succeeded Thomas M. Reynolds on January 4, 2003 . Since he on a run again in 2004 renounced, he left the after January 3, 2005 Congress of.

After his time at the congress, he worked as a professional advocate . He was president of the Erie Community College in Buffalo.
