The current place name suffix “-dorf” in all probability dates from the time of the conquest in the 8th century. In the past, Feilsdorf belonged within the Duchy of Luxembourg partly to the rule of Neuerburg and partly to the rule of Bettingen , within which he came to the parish of Baustert at the latest in 1570. In 1848 there were 54 residents in four houses. In 1895 the population was already 81, and residential buildings doubled. The municipality belonged to the Oberweis office until 1970 , when this was merged with other offices as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate municipal reform to form the Bitburg-Land association .
