Jasnopolskoje ( Russian Яснопольское , German Auxkallen, parish Pelleningken , 1938–1945 Hoheninster , Lithuanian Aukštkalniai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .
Geographical location
Jasnopolskoje is located on the east bank of the Inster (Russian: Instrutsch), 14 kilometers northeast of the city of Chernyachovsk (Insterburg) and one kilometer south of Sagorskoje (Pelleningken / Strigengrund) . Before 1945 the place was a train station on the Insterburg – Kraupischken railway line of the Insterburger Kleinbahnen , which is no longer used today.
History
The place called Augskallen was first mentioned in 1557. In 1874 the village, which consisted of an estate and a few small farms, became part of the newly established district of Pelleningken (from 1939 "District of Strigengrund", today in Russian: Sagorskoje ) incorporated, which existed until 1945 and for district Insterburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.
Auxkallen belonged to the parish of Pelleningken . On June 3, 1938 - with official confirmation of July 16, 1938 - Auxkallen was given the name "Hoheninster" for political and ideological reasons.
In 1945 the place came with the northern East Prussia to the Soviet Union . In 1947 he received the Russian name "Jasnopolskoje" and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Sagorski selski Sowet in Chernyakhovsk district . From 2008 to 2015, Jasnopolskoje belonged to the rural municipality of Kalushskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Chernyakhovsk.

The predominantly Protestant population of Auxkallen resp. Hoheninsters was parish in the parish of Pelleningken (1938–1946: Strigengrund, today Russian: Sagorskoje). It was part of the church district Insterburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Jasnopolskoje is located in the catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Schtschegly (Saugwethen , 1938–1946 Saugehnen) , a branch parish in the church region of Chernyachovsk (Insterburg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
