Ostrogorki ( Russian Острогорки , German Groß Schunkern , Lithuanian Šunkariai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .
Geographical location
Ostrogorki located eight kilometers northwest of the Rajonzentrums Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) on the municipal road 27K-175 of Majowka (George Castle) on the regional road 27A-009 (ex A197 ) over Gremjatschje (United Bersch Kallen / Birch) and Wyssokoje (Popelken / Market Hausen) for federal road A216 leads. The nearest train station is Chernyakhovsk. Until 1945 there was a connection via Georgenburg (Majowka) to the Insterburger Kleinbahnen with the Insterburg-Groß Skaisgirren railway line (1938–1946: Kreuzingen, today Russian: Bolschakowo ).
history
The time Köthlaucken , later Great Shun core called village experienced its founding in 1642. Between 1874 and 1945 was the site in the District Alischken (1938-1946: Forest village, Russian: no longer Karpowo existent) incorporated, which the district Insterburg in Gumbinnen region belonged to the Prussian province of East Prussia .
As a result of the Second World War , Groß Schunkern came to the Soviet Union in 1945 with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Ostrogorki" and was assigned to the village soviet Gremjatschski selski Sowet in Chernyakhovsk Rajon . Since 1954 Ostrogorki belonged to the Majowski selski Sowet . In 1997 the place came to the village district Kamenski selski okrug . From 2008 to 2015 Ostrogorki belonged to the rural municipality of Kamenskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the Chernyakhovsk district.

With its predominantly Protestant population, Groß Schunkern was parish up until 1945 in the parish of the Berschkallen Church (1938–1946: Birken, today in Russian: Gremjatschje). It belonged to the church district Insterburg (Tschernjachowsk) in the church province East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Ostrogorki is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) , which belongs to the Kaliningrad (Königsberg) provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
