Bereschkowskoje ( Russian Бережковское , German  Groß Bubainen , 1928–1945 Waldhausen, Insterburg district , Lithuanian (Didieji) Bubainiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .

Geographical location

Bereschkowskoje on the south bank of the Pregel (Russian: Pregolja) is on the Russian trunk road A 229 (former German Reichsstrasse 1 , now also European route 28 ) and is nine kilometers from the district town of Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) . The place is a train station - with the designation " Pastuchowo -Nowoje" - on the railway line from Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) via Chernyakhovsk to Lithuania and on to Moscow .

history

The founding date of until 1928 Groß Bubainen Dorf became the seat and eponymous place of a newly created administrative district on June 13, 1874 . He belonged to the circle Insterburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 Groß Bubainen had 362 inhabitants.

On October 17, 1928, Groß Bubainen was renamed "Waldhausen", and the administrative district followed in 1930 with the changed name as "Administrative District Waldhausen". The number of inhabitants of the place rose to 737 by 1933 and was already 765 in 1939.

In 1945, Waldhausen came to the Soviet Union as a result of the Second World War with northern East Prussia and in 1947 received the Russian name " Bereschkowskoje ". At the same time the place became the seat of a village soviet in Chernyakhovsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2015, Berezhkovskoye belonged to the rural municipality of Svobodnenskoje selskoje posselenije and since then has been part of the Chernyakhovsk district.

When it was established in 1874, the district of Groß Bubainen consisted of four rural communities and two manor districts :

In 1930, the district was renamed "Waldhausen District". Due to the restructuring, on January 1, 1945, only three communities belonged to it: Schwägerau, Staatshausen and Waldhausen.

Bereschkowski selski Sowet / okrug 1947–2008

The Bereschkowski selski Sowet (ru. Бережковский сельский Совет) was established in June 1947. The administrative seat of the village soviet was initially the place Bereschkowskoje. In 1961 the Meschduretschenski selski Sowet was connected to the Bereschkowski selski Sowet. Before 1988, the administrative headquarters of the village council was relocated to Saovrashnoye . After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district of Bereschkowski selski okrug (ru. Бережковский сельский округ). In 2008, the remaining places in the village district were incorporated into the newly formed rural community Svobodnenskoje selskoje posselenije , with the exception of Sagorodnoje , which was incorporated into the urban community of Chernyakhovskoye selskoje posselenije .

The place Borowoje ((Groß) Plattenischken / Rehfeld) , which was renamed in 1947 and which was initially also included in the Bereschkowski selski Sowet, then (before 1975) became part of the Swobodnenski selski Sowet .

In 1997, another settlement Meschduretschje station was established in the Bereschkowski selski okrug .

church

With its predominantly Protestant population, Groß Bubainen or Waldhausen was parish into the parish of Norkitten (today in Russian: Meschduretschje) until 1945 . It belonged to the church district Insterburg (Tschernjachowsk) in the church province East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Bereschkowskoje located in the catchment area of the newly formed Evangelical Lutheran parish in Tschernjachowsk that the provost Kaliningrad of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia is assigned.
