Meschduretschje (Schelesnodoroschnaja stanzija) ( Russian Междуречье (Железнодорожная станция) , short ж / д ст. Междуречье, German station Norkitten ), is a place in the Russian Oblast . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .
Geographical location
The Schelesnodoroschnaja stanzija Meschduretschje is a train station on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoje railway line (Königsberg – Eydtkuhnen) and is 71 kilometers east of the Oblast capital of Kaliningrad and 18 kilometers west of the Chernyachovsk district center (Insterburg) . The associated place Meschduretschje (Norkitten) is just under two kilometers northwest of the train station.
history
On June 6, 1860, the Königsberg – Gumbinnen line (now in Russian: Kaliningrad-Gussew) of the Prussian Eastern Railway was opened and the Norkitten station was also opened. In the same year, the line was expanded further to the border at Eydtkuhnen (1938–1945 Eydtkau , today in Russian: Tschernyschewskoje), which today represents the direct connection from Moscow to the Kaliningrad exclave.
The residential area Bahnhof Norkitten was incorporated into the rural community Wiepeningken (1928–1945 Staatshausen , today Russian: Podgornoje) in the district of Groß Bubainen (Russian after 1945 Bereschkowskoje) and thus belonged to the district of Insterburg in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On October 1, 1928, the district of Bahnhof Norkitten was reclassified into the rural community of Norkitten (Meschduretschje in Russian after 1945) and thus also taken over into the Norkitten district.
The assignment of northern East Prussia to the Soviet Union in 1945 also affected the small town of Bahnhof Norkitten, which after 1945 initially still belonged to Meschduretschje. In 1997, the place was independently assigned as Schelesnodoroschnaja stanzija Meschduretschje and the village district Bereschkowski selski okrug. From 2008 to 2015 the Schelesnodoroschnaja stanzija Meschduretschje belonged to the rural municipality of Svobodnenskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Chernyakhovsk.
