Rjabinowoje ( Russian Рябиновое , German Kallehnen, Kreis Wehlau , Lithuanian Kalėnai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .
Geographical location
Ryabinovoye is located on the north bank of the Pregel (Russian: Pregolja) 28 kilometers west of the Rajon city of Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) . Municipal road 27K-163 runs through the village from Sirenjewka (Siemohnen) not far from Meschduretschje (Norkitten) via Poddubnoje (Schönwiese) and Gluschkowo (Plibischken) to federal road A216 (former German Reichsstraße 138 , today also European road 77 ) near Kudrjawzewo (Kuglacken) . The next train station is Meschduretschje on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoje railway line (Königsberg – Eydtkuhnen / Eydtkau) - the former Prussian Eastern Railway - for onward travel to Lithuania and the Russian heartland.
history
The village, which was called Kallehnen until 1946, was first mentioned in documents from the year 1384. Before the Second World War , several medium-sized courtyards shaped the village. Between 1874 and 1945 Kallehnen was in the District Plibischken (now Russian: Gluschkowo) incorporated and thus belonged to the circle Wehlau in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia .
As a result of the war, Kallehnen came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Ryabinowoje" and was also assigned to the village soviet Kamenski selski soviet in Chernyakhovsk district . From 2008 to 2015 Ryabinovoye belonged to the rural municipality of Kamenskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the Chernyakhovsk district.

Due to its predominantly Protestant population, Kallehnen was parish in the parish of the Church of Plibischken (today in Russian: Gluschkowo) until 1945 and thus belonged to the church district of Wehlau (Snamensk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Ryabinowoje is located in the catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Talpaki (Taplacken) , a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
