Krugloje ( Russian Круглое , German  Roßthal ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .

Geographical location

Krugloje is located five kilometers north of the city of Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) and can be reached via a junction from the regional road 27A-009 (ex A197 ) north of Majowka (Georgenburg) . The nearest train station is Chernyakhovsk.

history

The small town of Roßthal was a manor village before 1945. In 1874, the Roßthal manor district came to the newly established "Amtsgebiet" Szieleitschen (1938–1946: Schieleitschen), which - renamed " Amtsgebiet Geswethen " in 1930 and 1938 to "Amtsgebiet Landwehr (Ostpr.) " - until 1945 to the Kreis Insterburg in the administrative district Gumbinnen belonged to the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 the place had 52 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928 the manor district Roßthal and the neighboring rural community Uszeszern were combined to form the rural community Roßthal. In 1933 the population of this municipality was 130 and in 1939 it was the same.

In 1945 Roßthal came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia as a result of the war . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Krugloje" and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Kaluschski selski Sowet in Chernyakhovsk district . 1954 came the place in the Majowski selski Sowet . In 1997 Krugloje came to the Kalinowski selski okrug village district . From 2008 to 2015 the place belonged to the rural municipality Kalushskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Chernyakhovsk.
