Datschnoje ( Russian Дачное , German  Alt Lappönen , Lithuanian Lapėnai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .

Geographical location

Datschnoje is located 20 kilometers north of the city of Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) on the municipal road 27K-092 from Kaluschskoje (Grünheide) to Kalinowka (Aulowönen / Aulenbach) . Until 1945 there was a rail connection via the Aulowönen (Aulenbach) station on the Insterburg – Groß Skaisgirren railway line (1938–1945: Kreuzingen, today Russian: Bolshakowo) of the Insterburger Kleinbahnen , which is no longer operated today.

The later Gutsdorf Alt Lappönen was built around 1600. Bambullen settlement

Near Alt Lappönens there was an approximately 150 meter high elevation that was called "Bambull". The Bambullen (also: Bombollen) settlement once lay on this mountain. This village became completely extinct due to the devastating plague in 1709/10 .

War cemetery

On the eastern edge of Datschnoje there is a well-preserved and well-tended war cemetery from the First World War .
