This list shows the MPs who were elected to the National Parliament of East Timor in the elections on May 12, 2018 and who have moved up to Parliament during the current legislative period. The order in this list corresponds to the MP's place on the party list. The parliament has 65 members and met for the first time on June 13th.

All members of the government are required by law to give up their seats in parliament in favor of a replacement from the list. If a member of the government leaves the cabinet, he or she can return to parliament and the successor loses his mandate. MEPs who left parliament early or who were elected but did not take office are crossed out in the list. Successors are marked with (N).

Strongest force was 2020 the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso AMP (an alliance of National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction CNRT , Partidu Libertasaun Popular PLP and Kmanek Haburas Unidade Nasional Timor Oan KHUNTO ) with 34 seats, followed by FRETILIN with 23 seats, the Partido Democrático PD with 5 seats and the newly drafted Frenti Dezenvolvimentu Demokratiku FDD (an alliance of Partidu Unidade Dezenvolvimentu Demokratiku PUDD , União Democrática Timorense UDT , Frenti-Mudança FM and Partido do Desenvolvimento Nacional PDN ) with three seats.

On January 17, 2020, the CNRT MPs rejected the government bill for the state budget. The AMP broke up. On February 22nd, CNRT, KHUNTO, PD, UDT, FM and PUDD publicly signed a coalition agreement to form a new East Timorese government. The alliance had 34 seats and thus a parliamentary majority. The new coalition failed again on April 27th and KHUNTO announced on April 29th to leave the coalition in favor of the old government. This now wants to accept members of FRETILIN and PD for the vacant positions. PLP, FRETILIN and KHUNTO together have a majority of 36 seats.

Although the alliance entered with a common list, the three parties each form independent parliamentary groups. The two first-placed Xanana Gusmão and Taur Matan Ruak did not take part in the first parliamentary session and waived their seats in favor of Sabino Soares Guntur (PLP) and Óscar de Araújo (CNRT). Irene Gonzaga Sarmento from KHUNTO, who is in 36th place, did not use her seat. The parties therefore replace outgoing MPs with party members and not strictly according to the order of the electoral list. On June 22nd, the first members of the 8th government were sworn in. According to the constitution, the new members of the government, Dionísio da Costa Babo Soares , Fidelis Leite Magalhães , Armanda Berta dos Santos and José Agustinho da Silva, gave up their parliamentary seats. Also António de Sousa verdial , Jacinto Rigoberto , Francisco Kalbuadi Lay and Virgílio Simith gave up their mandate because they were intended for government offices. There was a dispute with President Guterres about their nomination. For the CNRT, José Virgílio Rodrigues Ferreira , Veneranda Lemos Martins , Patrocínio Fernandes dos Reis and Virgínia Ana Belo followed, for the PLP Abel Pires da Silva and for the KHUNTO Irene Gonzaga Sarmento, António Maria Nobre Amaral Tilman and Lígia Filomena Coelho da Silva . Since António Verdial de Sousa was rejected by President Guterres as a candidate for government, Sousa returned to parliament. Lígia Filomena Coelho da Silva therefore had to vacate her seat again.

Frenti Dezenvolvimentu Demokratiku FDD

The difference of opinion over the legality of the presidium election, in which Ximenes, supported by Santos, was elected to the parliamentary presidium, while Benevides left the meeting in protest against the failure to take into account the major opposition parties with FRETILIN and PD, led to the break within the FDD and on May 18. June to dissolve the alliance. On June 21, the two MPs from FM and UDT decided to continue forming a joint parliamentary group.
