The New Zealand national cricket team tour to Australia in the 2004/05 season took place from November 18 to December 10, 2004. The international cricket tour was part of the 2004/05 international cricket season and included two tests and three ODIs . Australia won the Test Series 2-0, while the ODI Series 1-1 ended in a draw.

prehistory

Australia previously played a tour in India , New Zealand in Bangladesh . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2001/02 season in Australia .
