The Raccordo autostradale 8 ( Italian for 'motorway feeder 8') is a motorway feeder in north-eastern Italy that connects the Adriatic coast with Ferrara and the A13 motorway. The RA8 is four lanes (two lanes in each direction) without projecting strip expanded. It is managed by ANAS .
The decree Decreto Legislativo 29 ottobre 1999, n.461 did not include the RA10 in the Italian motorway network, but classified it as a road of national interest . In 2001 it was given the designation RA 8 on the basis of a further decree ( Decreto del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri del 21 September 2001 ) . The designation RA8 does not appear on any notice board along the route. These show the name Raccordo autostradale FE-Porto Garibaldi .
course
The RA 8 is 54 km long and lies entirely in the Emilia-Romagna region .
At Porto Garibaldi on the Adriatic coast, the RA8 branches off the Italian state road SS 309 Romea . Then it runs inland through the Po Valley and through the Valli di Comacchio .
The most important places along the route are Comacchio , Migliarino, Gualdo, Cona and Ferrara. Here it joins the A13.
So far, the RA 8, like most Italian motorway feeders, is not subject to a toll .
Remedial measures
On October 21, 2009 the tender for the transfer of the motorway feeder to a private company, which will then operate and maintain the motorway under concession for 50 years , began. The cost is 633,000,000 euros.
