Reid James Ribble (born April 5, 1956 in Neenah , Winnebago County , Wisconsin ) is an American politician . From 2011 to 2017 he represented the state of Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Reid Ribble attended until 1974, the Appleton East High School and then the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in Grand Rapids ( Michigan ), to become a clergyman. But he changed his mind and became a businessman in the roofing industry. Today he is the head of Kaukauna- based The Riddle Group Inc.

Politically, Ribble joined the Republican Party . In the 2010 congressional election , he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the eighth constituency of Wisconsin , where he succeeded Steve Kagen on January 3, 2011 , whom he defeated in the election. Since he was re-elected in all subsequent elections, including those in 2014, he was able to exercise his mandate until January 3, 2017. He left the House of Representatives that day because he no longer stood for election in 2016. Ribble was a member of the Agriculture Committee and the Budget Committee and two subcommittees. He was also a member of the Liberty Caucus .

Reid Ribble is married and has two children. The family also has several grandchildren. He lives privately in Appleton . On January 30, 2016, he announced that he would not stand again. He is therefore expected to leave Congress on January 3, 2017.
