Thomas P. Tiffany (born December 30, 1957 in Wabasha , Minnesota ) is an American politician . Since a by-election on May 12, 2020, he has represented the 7th congressional electoral district of the state of Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Tiffany received a BS in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and then went into the private sector to run several companies in the agricultural and oil sectors.

In 2011, Tiffany was elected as a Republican for the 35th District in the Wisconsin State Assembly . Two years later for the 12th District in the Wisconsin Senate . He was a member of this until 2020 when he prevailed in a successful election campaign in early May 2020 against the Democrat Tricia Zunker and succeeded the Republican Sean Duffy, who resigned for family reasons, as a member of the 7th congressional constituency of Wisconsin.
