Herman Bjorn Dahle (born March 30, 1855 in Perry , Dane County , Wisconsin , †  April 25, 1920 in Mount Horeb , Wisconsin) was an American politician . Between 1899 and 1903 he represented the state of Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Herman Dahle attended the public schools of his home country and then studied until 1877 at the University of Wisconsin in Madison . In 1877 he moved to Mount Vernon where he worked in commerce. He stayed there until he moved to Mount Horeb in 1887, where he continued to work in the trade. Since 1890 Dahle was also active in the banking business.

Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party . In the congressional election of 1898 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the second constituency of Wisconsin , where he succeeded Edward Sauerhering on March 4, 1899 . After re-election in 1900, he was able to complete two legislative terms in Congress until March 3, 1903 . In 1902, Herman Dahle was no longer nominated by his party for another term.

After retiring from the US House of Representatives, Dahle resumed his previous trading and banking activities. He died on April 25, 1920 in Mount Horeb and was buried there.
