Scott L. Klug (born January 16, 1953 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American politician . Between 1991 and 1999 he represented the state of Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Scott Klug attended private schools in his youth and then until 1975 the Lawrence University in Appleton . He then studied until 1976 at Northwestern University in Evanston ( Illinois ) and until 1990 at the University of Wisconsin – Madison . In the meantime he was in the television business in Seattle ( Washington ). There he worked, among other things, as a TV reporter. Scott also became a vice president of an investment firm and was a newspaper publisher.

Politically, Klug joined the Republican Party . In the 1990 congressional elections , he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the second constituency of Wisconsin , where he succeeded longtime MP Robert Kastenmeier , whom he defeated in the election, on January 3, 1991 . After three re-elections, he was able to complete four legislative terms in Congress until January 3, 1999 . There he was temporarily a member of the Energy and Trade Committee. In 1998 he renounced another candidacy.

Until 2007, Klug was CEO of Black Earth- based Trails Media Group , which was then sold. In the run-up to the 2008 presidential election , it was announced that he would lead Rudolph Giuliani's election campaign in Wisconsin together with ex- US Senator Bob Kasten . However, after his defeat in Florida , Giuliani did not even compete in the primary elections in Wisconsin.

Scott Klug is married and has three sons.
