Saint-Eugène is a French municipality with 244 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Thierry and is part of the canton of Essômes-sur-Marne (formerly: canton of Condé-en-Brie ).

Located around 15 km east-southeast of Château-Thierry in the former Brie Champenoise with the districts of Le Mousset, Le Charmois, Le Donjon, La Perle and part of Les Grèves, west of the Surmelin river between Crézancy in the north and Condé-en- Brie on the D4 departmental road and the disused railway line from Mézy-Moulins via Condé-en-Brie to Montmirail ; on the opposite side of the valley is Monthurel . The municipality extends to the west up to the height and borders there on Fossoy , Blesmes and Courboin .
