history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1205 under the name Chýna . The owners of Vchynice and the surrounding villages of Opárno , Medvědice, Měrunice and Velké Žernoseky were the noble family of Wchinsky von Wchynice (known as Kinsky), who probably had their ancestral seat here. One of the most important landlords of Vchynice was Jan Dlask von Wchynice, who came to power in 1464 and was buried in St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. Parts of the place went into the possession of Albrecht Kyšperský von Vřesovice in 1541.

In 1756 the place and the surrounding area were the scene of the first fighting in the Seven Years' War , the Battle of Lobositz .

Local division

The municipality Vchynice consists of the districts Vchynice ( Wchinitz ) and Radostice ( Radositz ), which at the same time also form cadastral districts.
