The Football League Second Division 1967/68 was the 65th season of the Football League Second Division as the second highest English football league . It began on August 19, 1967 and ended on May 15, 1968.

Ipswich Town became second division champions and the second-placed Queens Park Rangers also rose to the Football League First Division . The two first division clubs Sheffield United and Fulham FC, which are ranked in the table below, took the places for the two promoted teams in the following second division season 1968/69 . Rotherham United and Plymouth Argyle had to relegate from the Second Division to the Football League Third Division . Instead of the two clubs, the third division winners Oxford United and third division champions FC Bury took the vacant positions in the following season 1968/69 .
