Girolles is a commune with 619 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It is part of the canton of Courtenay (until 2015: canton Ferrières-en-Gâtinais ) in the arrondissement of Montargis . The inhabitants are called Girollois .

Girolles is about 63 kilometers east-northeast of Orléans . Girolles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Préfontaines in the north and northwest, Nargis in the north, Fontenay-sur-Loing in the east and northeast, Cepoy in the southeast, Corquilleroy in the south and southwest and Treilles-en-Gâtinais in the west.
