Herberge is a district of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The hostel is located south of the main town of Schalksmühl, directly on the city limits of Halver . Neighboring towns are Rotthausen , Mathagen , Herbecke , Buchholz , Hälver , Am Alten Hammer and Krampenhammer , as well as Othmaringhausen , Wiene , Streitstück and Heerenfelde in the Halveran urban area .

On October 1, 1912, the area around the place was spun off from the municipality of Halver and assigned to the newly founded municipality of Schalksmühle.
