In 1818 four residents lived in Streitstück. According to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , the place was categorized as Kotten and in 1838 had a population of six, all of whom were Protestant. At that time, the place belonged to the Gloerfeld peasantry within the mayor's office of Halver and owned a house and an agricultural building.
