Mittelherweg is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Mittelherweg is located in eastern Halver on the road 892 between Schmidtsiepen and the larger Ehringhausen . Other neighboring towns are Grund , Berge , Pottheinrich and the Herweger Schleifkotten .

North of Mittelherweg is the Brehenberg , 401.6  m above sea level. NHN high elevation.

history

Mittelherweg was first mentioned in a document in 1557, but the origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 1300 and 1400 following the second medieval clearing period.

In 1818 15 people lived in the village. In 1838 Mittelherweg belonged as Middern-Herweg to the Ehringhauser peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place, which was categorized as a courtyard according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , had three residential buildings, three factories or mills and an agricultural building at that time.
