Mesenhohl is a court of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Mesenhohl lies at 360 m above sea level. NHN in northeast Halver. Neighboring towns are a large housing estate with loose housing developments east of Eichholz , Oeckinghausen , Lingen , Bochen , Bocherplatz and Bruch . The place can be reached via the neighboring housing estate and a driveway from the federal road 229 near Heesfeld . A tributary of the Hälver rises in Mesenhohl .
The route of the Hälvertalbahn , which has been converted into a cycling and hiking trail , runs east of Mesenhohl .
history
Mesenhohl was first mentioned in a document in 1435, but the time of origin of the settlement is presumed to be between 1050 and 1200 as a result of the clearing phase after the high medieval territorial formation. Mesenhohl was a split off from Lingen.
In 1818 19 residents lived in the village. In 1838 Mesenhohl belonged as Mesenholl to the Oeckinghauser peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place, which was categorized as a courtyard according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , had four houses, four factories or mills and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 26 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
